The Solution
The
Bird Repel system is similar to electric fences used
on ranches. The main difference is that the Bird Repel
system uses two wires spaced one inch apart - one is
the "output" wire, the other is the "return"
wire.
Each
wire is connected to one of the output terminals of
the Bird Repel energizer. The Bird Repel energizer emits
a memorable yet harmless intermittent output pulse that
travels down the wires. When a bird makes contact with
the wires, the output pulse shocks the offending bird
in a way that is similar to a strong electrostatic shock
experienced when touching a doorknob - it's not pleasant,
but it won't harm you.
An
electric shock is the most effective method of keeping
animals away from unwanted areas. It presents a powerful
psychological barrier rather than a physical (and unsightly)
barrier.

A
simple but effective system consists of two strong,
thin corrosive resistant parrallel wires are setup
along the perimiter with clear plastic insulators
attatched them. These wires then connect to this
energizer that when birds try to land on the edge
of the building results in a mild non-lethal shock
to the birds. We don't want to hurt the
birds, just make them go away. |
Here
are some photos of the Birds-B-Gone system installed.
Unfortunately for viewing on the internet, it is hard
to see the insulators in some pictures but that is a
great reason for businesses to have the system installed,
IT IS HARD TO SEE!

Birds are kept off the roof using the Bird Repelsystem.
You can see an small speck to the right of the elevator
shaft. That is what is seen from the street.

Solar
Energizer at Commercial Property Easily placed
behind a wall, the energizer can be hidden from
view. An internal battery keeps the Bird Repel
charged during cloudy days. |

Corner
at residential Property The corner insulator was
used at a downtown property. The entire Birds-B-Gone
system was invisible from the street below. See
